What To Eat Before Crossfit In The Morning?
You may ask. What to eat before and after a good and hard workout with the gym all day long? This is something we never talk about, but we often forget. However, now that my son Josh has been doing Crossfit for almost a year now, I am aware that he needs some nutrition right before or even during his workouts. We all know you do not workout on an empty stomach, as they say. In fact no food at least 3 hours prior to your exercise as well as 2 hours leading up to the workout will ensure proper recovery of muscle fibers and muscles cells. So make sure you eat these foods for recovery! Food You Should Eat Before A Typical Crossfit Workout: Sweet Potatoes – Like most other “carbs” sweet potatoes are a whole food loaded with vitamins and minerals including B6 & Turmeric which can help repair damaged tissue from intense training over time! They also have less fat per serving than grains making this one of my favorite meals pre-workout! Peanut Butter – Eating peanut butter just 10 minutes before training does wonders for recovery especially if it’s unsweetened. It can aid in digestion which helps prevent cramping AND absorption rate of protein – thus leading towards greater muscle growth/repair/thickening formation post-workout! Egg Whites – Timing has plenty of muscle building power, so adding egg whites 30 minutes prior to undergoing a lengthy work out is the way to go here
