According to research conducted by CrossFit founder Greg Glassman in the 1990s, most Americans are 16 pounds heavier than they should be because of their midday meal habits. He found that people who ate at regular intervals weighed up to 10 pounds more than infrequent eaters did, while those who skipped meals also tended to have higher BMIs and healthier body fat levels compared with their fragmented routine counterparts. “The difficult thing about fitness is getting moving,” says Glassman. “What Mr. Wilson has done is come up with a way for exercisers to push themselves failure-free every day.” Basically, if you’re going hard enough that you can’t work out until dinner—or even skip it altogether—you’ll start seeing results sooner than those whose diets include a feast each morning and night—and maybe even a cookie fewer hours later.—Kristin Kirkpatrick

If I register online does that mean I get into the workout too? No! Once you register online you will be sent an email with a unique code which gets added to your original entry ticket. This way if you experience problems with your computer during competition and need assistance we can fix it quickly instead of letting someone else claim their spot in the workout by proxy.
