When is the 2018 CrossFit Games?
The 2018 CrossFit Games are scheduled to start on Friday, July 19. The Opening Ceremony will take place at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m PT with the first workout starting at 10 a.m. ET / 7 a.m PT that morning live here on NBCSN and online via The Opening Ceremony app for authenticated subscribers only—all others can watch live or later using the NBC Sports app, NBCSports.com/live , or through their local cable provider via TV Everywhere partners of theirs Passwords will be sent out approximately two weeks prior to the event so please do not enter your information into any unofficial sites or apps as they are prone to hacking attempts by third parties who seek to obtain email addresses/passwords from our database for this purpose. What Do I Need For My First Crossfit Class?
A heavy duty workout belt Gloves (never use your hands to catch a bar, you could roll your wrist) Bottle of water and towel Strong shoulders and lower back (they can take quite a beating) and some upper body strength to work the arms. I do not recommend anyone working on their own at first. A personal trainer will be able to give you an assessment of what is required at that level.
