How Does Crossfit Differ From Bodybuilding And Weightlifting?
While Crossfit is largely considered a weightlifting sport, some of the exercises are not specific to weightlifting. For example, you can use dumbbells with certain movements in Crossfit. However, there are still some things you should know about how it differs from bodybuilding and weightlifting both physically and psychologically. Similarities between bodybuilding and CrossFit: The biggest similarity between bodybuilding and CrossFit is that they share many of the same exercises. These include back squats, leg presses, bench press, overhead presses (barbell or dumbbell), deadlifts, squat thrust variations (weighted v reverse hyper)–all done on the Commercial Gym equipment with sets ranging anywhere from 3-10 reps at varying intensities per exercise. Furthermore , most gyms have rows for pull ups hangs & chin ups as well as pull thrus dips & pushups . You’ll find these common gym machines fairly cheap; but it’s important to be aware that there are also differences between bodybuilders/CrossFitters when using these machines versus free weights since most gyms don’t allow people to stand on their own attachments like you would with free weights where if someone stands on them then the attached machine is open for everyone else who uses it) The biggest difference between Bodybuilding/Weightlifiting and CrossFit is found within which fitness goal each group is trying to achieve!
