For example, an open WOD that parallels a pre-registered Open Your Legs WOD is announced as “Open Your Legs 12:00pm” for it’s time and on the top right corner of the screen. A new workout being announced with a specific time will have the word NEW next to the name.
I noticed on my My Account page you have several training plans listed. Why don’t I see them all?
When you create a new account, only those plans which are associated with your email address will appear. If you log into your old account from another browser or computer, then your personal training plans may be visible to you again. To avoid this from happening in the future, make sure you use a different email address when signing up for access to new accounts after logging out of one of yours.
Why do I keep getting warnings about questionable activity by other users?
Why Do Crossfit Games Have Tape On Their Backs?
Crossfitters tape their backs because the movement of weight through space requires a bit more stability in the core. When you train to lift heavy weights, your back is tilted forward at best and often hunched over. In either case, when you start moving large amounts of weight, there needs to be a solid base for that stability against your body’s natural tendency to tighten up. The Rest Of The Movements Within Crossfit Get More Coverage But These 3 Are Crucial Of course not all exercises do the same thing with the spinal stabilizing muscles involved in lifting a squat or deadlift versus a push-up or a pull-up. So where does that leave us? Well just like fitness gyms don’t work for everyone, maxing out on every single exercise doesn’t work for everyone either! Bottom line: Not all workouts can be high intensity, high number days and still get the job done. That being said we know what we need and we give it to our clients because we understand how important it is to optimize performance! Takeaway: When you choose movements for your clients they should focus on improving performance and power production rather than isolating any particular muscle group. If you focused only on isolations these days you would never end up doing much training but I think Dr Charles Poliquin showed us what he considers an element of bodyweight strength training called “bodyweight gymnastics” (see his blog here)
