What Percent Of Crossfit Is Men Vs Women?

As much as I hate to admit this, there is a nugget of truth to the media’s perception.

Interestingly enough, if you go by Wikipedia, in 2012 women made up just 27% of all CrossFit participants (with female participation declining across all levels since 2011). Considering that didn’t change significantly between 2011 and 2014, I would assume it’s still relevant. This isn’t rocket science for anyone who has been following CrossFit closely; even with rapid growth over the past 6 years, our community is still predominantly millennial females.

So why bring this up? Well if we’re going off any stats (our numbers are growing like crazy), then how important does fifty percent really matter? The answer couldn’t be more obvious: NOT ENOUGH!
