one of my favorite crossfit things to do with a partner or without a partner is burpees – basically push-ups – they’re high intensity and they work your muscles furiously. immediately after working out, I used to have really bad knee pain – my knees would ache for a few days after a workout mostly because I was squishing them down into the floor too hard. it stinks when your legs hurt from moving them wrong, especially when you think you’re being functional and getting stronger. unfortunately, there isn’t anything “right” about bodyweight exercise as many people think that there needs to be something to hold onto in order for the movement to be functional (which leads me to believe strength training might not always correlate with mobility), which can make judging form extremely difficult at times unless one knows what else their knee could look like besides arthritic hiking poles or cartilage crushing spikes during squats or toes pointed outward during sit-ups). this was also happening on exercises I had done before running with Kettlebell Kings 3 months prior (so frustrating!).

: I love weightlifting and CrossFit. It was important, however, to find a program that would keep my body active and not cause undue stress or fatigue during pregnancy. This program does just that! If you’re active, you’ll be able to modify it for your needs. If you’re active and big into fitness already you’ll be able to take advantage of all the training methods included in this program like plyometrics (explosive movements such as box jumps), rowing variations (curls, rows), kettlebell swings, handstand walks and much more. Having the option to use the scaling options is really nice at times when you need a break but can’t make adjustments up or down for safety reasons like if: pre/term labor (monitoring closely) Over-heating (your safety)! You learn about how some exercises can actually help support your body so well during pregnancy! LOVE IT!!! Meditation & Pregnancy: There are some things that are almost impossible to do without “space”. Pre-pregnancy one could have meditated on their own off on weekends where they wouldn’t be interrupting others or doing family activities. During pregnancy though?! During meditation practice one must be aware of surrounding sounds & voices etc. Additionally I found that just being present within these moments felt deep & personal … Something precious requiring space which has been quite helpful during this time also! I always thought meditation was something only ascetics used… Not true!! 🙂
