One Hour Of Crossfit Burns How Many Calories?
Many people think that because Crossfit is high intensity and burns lots of calories, they will be sweating buckets the next day. While this may be true for some workouts, others actually result in very little calorie expenditure. One-hour WOD’s such as “1-minute AMRAP” or “1-minute max reps abs” generally burn less than 10 calories. Using a more complex workout that includes a lot of jumping around usually results in similar low calorie burned during a one hour time frame. Of course if you are going out after your workout to eat some junk food then it does count! There are certain exercises where even though they may not seem like much on paper, can actually burn an incredible amount of calories due to burning fat as fuel instead of carbohydrates. Monthly Calorie Burn Comparison I know from experience how those numbers change once you start adding additional weight to the bar every few weeks. I would double my weight each round until I was lifting over 60lbs for many months at a time depending on the level I was doing at that time (4 x 5lb weighted squats, deadlifts and pull ups were probably around 40 – 50 lbs). When you go up these weights overtime your metabolism works harder and it doesn’t take long before you find yourself burnt out from all of the additional work being done due to so many extra pounds being lifted off the ground each week or month.
