For most people they shouldn’t even consider training with weights until their muscles are around 12% body fat (unless they plan on competing in powerlifting!). This will give them enough muscle mass without having spent hours training without enjoying it! Like most things, once your legs start slowing down then they become dead weights which will mean squats, deadlifts, kettlebell swings etc all become boring too soon! So just focus on cardio first!!
