Register your team for the 2019 CrossFit Games Open now at http://games.crossfit.com/ This year, there are more than 1,300 teams registered to compete in the competition, with hundreds of thousands of athletes – both individual and team qualifiers – expecting to walk away from Santa Monica simply awestruck after competing in their first regional or elimination round qualifying event!
How much does it cost to register a team? Registration is free for all teams who qualify through Regional Qualifiers (RQs) or Regionals events; only the top 120 will be invited into the next stage – The Atlantic Regional. All other regions will be last-chance qualifier points that you’ll need to meet in order to keep your spot for Games 2019 registration. Don’t worry if you can’t make it this week. Track Your Proper Level Crossfit has some pretty strict guidelines when it comes to what you should be able to handle. If you are not able to maintain your proper level, then there are certain things that will have to change in the programming of the program, eventually leading to an event being DQ’d or receiving a penalty on the next competition. After this point, what will happen is that any official CrossFit affiliate would have no choice but to remove probationary members from their programs and bar them from ever competing for their affiliate again. With such strict rules, it’s important for everyone who wishes to compete in CrossFit or even just go through a qualification process themselves, be aware of these potential consequences if they fail at maintaining their level of performance throughout the year. I’m doing this for two reasons: 1) Strength 2) Knowledge I don’t want to perpetuate the myth that you need to eat 7 cups of greens every day because it can make you fart all the time or make your poop big or something because it can actually cause constipation. The real reason is that your body burns glucose (sugars) as its main fuel source and becomes deficient in glycogen stores. Vegetables are just not high on the list of foods that naturally provide glucose. So eat 1-4 veggies per day at 0% carbohydrates for 4 weeks and see how you feel. Overdoing greens won’t lead to any negative side effects so you will be fine!
