Why Are All The Crossfit Wod Girl Names?

Good question! I asked trainer and facilitator Chris Emma to give me the answer, because he has pulled it out of his ass for years. Well, there are actually a lot of gals out there named CrossFit Girl. And, as you’ll see throughout this article, these names are unique for an interesting reason. The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about “girl” names in the fitness world is “Tegan” or “Tina.” You can tell who’s a girl-friendly fitness brand by their inclusion of these two terms somewhere on their website alone! But interestingly enough, none of thoseCrossFit Girl names are real girls’ name. So if Tegan or Tina aren’t your cup o tea…because they’re BITCHY WOD?! Let’s keep reading to investigate other options! Why Not Teagan? Or Ashley? Or Jessica? , A.B.A Twice a week I run the Northwoods Track Club (“Northwoods” or “NWC”) which meets at Highland Park Recreation Center in Montrose, Chicago! The club is currently a men’s distance based running group with a mixture of early and late starts on Tuesdays and Sundays respectively. Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions after you read this section…who knows we might even be able to get outside Oak Park for your first time! 😀 The WCs started as the mile-based Northwest Elite Distance Running club, but due to some behind the scenes changes, was renamed once again as Northwoods. We meet every Monday throughout the year for individual workouts (usually designed by ourselves) and race events (which are organized throughout the month). We compete monthly at various distances ranging from 5 miles up to 22 miles – mostly on trails around our own neighborhood of Montrose, but also occasionally other local races that take place around Chicago like Des Plaines Stampede Mile or Stony Island Marathon. As soon as one race ends another usually picks up; once you finish your last event it’s normally not long before you find yourself racing somewhere else.
