“Our system has been designed to reward a team for its overall performance across all phases of the competition, and not just how well it does in individual events. All teams that compete in the crossfit open are required to complete benchmarks within each phase of our event format. If a team successfully completes those benchmarks it is awarded points according to those benchmarks.
