Hi Pema and others! Thanks for the question. Sorry to hear that you’re struggling with this. The first thing we would encourage you to do is take a serious look at your dietary habits and what it looks like as part of a typical day (I’ll give some links below if necessary). But don’t write us off completely based off those numbers. It’s possible that not eating all those veggies has started to cause mild deficiencies in important nutrients such as vitamin A, B12 or iron; but those deficiencies can be quite subtle and hard to pinpoint without regular blood tests and working closely with your doctor on the issue. However it may start, we recommend working on these imbalances right away – rather than waiting – so that they can be fully corrected quickly and safely before any irreversible issues occur regarding strength levels, energy levels or other symptoms such as fatigue or pain. So I would suggest coming up with a pretty good “standard” daily diet consisting of foods from every food group above except the one’s already covered by essential macros (i.e., protein takes care of itself enough) – keeping it relatively healthy wholefoods-based fare if possible, depending upon where you are at in terms of tolerating certain foods better or experiencing effects from them slower. Describing crossfit without mentioning the word “crossfit” is difficult. People came up with all sorts of words to describe what they were doing. Some people thought long distance runners should be called ultra-marathon runners. Many who are not comfortable running long distances, but are very fast might prefer to call themselves sprinters. Some consider anyone who does not use weights to be a bodybuilder while others think bodybuilders should be called weight trainers or strength trainees. All these terms have their place in our sport and the situation needs to be looked at objectively before deciding which one will best serve you as an athlete … if any!
