a) only one person from the regional team that has sent a member to the games will go, regardless of how many people from that region have been successful.
b) as long as at least one person from each region is there, they can send more than one athlete. In this instance, some coaches prefer sending two or all three of their athletes. It’s also possible for a coach who has sent an athlete to the crossfit games to decline going themselves and have someone else represent them instead. This usually happens with all-female teams where a member of the coaching staff wants to compete so they want another female athlete on their team/country that has never competed before or just recently moved into coaching. Not everyone will be flying out straight from the last competition but most will come overland through Europe and Asia before heading south to Las Vegas for qualifiers in October/November 2019.
c) if no athletes manage to qualify within 10 months then whoever qualifies (if anyone at all) must fly out immediately after qualification is announced (ie men’s game day). The same applies if no countries qualify for 2018 shortly after qualifying for 2019 (ie women’s game day).
