How Many Days To Rest Before A Crossfit Competition?

Crossfit is unique among popular fitness styles in that it does not prescribe a how-to workout program. Instead, each individual must experiment and research his or her own abilities to determine what programs will get them where they want to be. Competitions such as the CrossFit Games allow an athlete to see if they can perform under pressure, but since everyone trains differently there won’t be two people at the competition with identical results. The best way for athletes train for competitions is by experimenting and determining what programs work best for them personally and how much rest between workouts may be necessary before competing again.

The CrossFit Games season consists of three stages: Regionals, Open, and the Games. In each stage, there are nominal qualification events through which teams continue to the next round. In Regionals, four teams in each region qualify via a four-team regional qualifying event. In the Open, eight teams qualify through a twenty-team world qualifying event. The Games include twelve team qualifiers from each region along with six team qualifiers from both regions combined as part of a single World Qualifier that takes place over three days in June. Up until 2012, the Games included a third day at the expo where the final 20 competitors competed.[6] Prior to 2011 it was claimed by many competitors who were serious athletes that gains made from CrossFit or any high intensity training would not persist but rather be temporary. Benefits remained as long as strength training was continued as normal on subsequent days thus no harm was done to one’s “base” fitness. Numerous exams found little or no differences between minimal trainers and fitness-focused athletes so who really had achieved something was questioned for quite some time among all parties involved right up until WFDF eventually came out stating it had found no proof for claims made by seriously competing athletes which several thought absurd given years of their testimonies.[37][38]The classes at Glentress run every Saturday morning during term times ranging from 6am until 9am (depending upon load) with general numbers capped at around 25 people per session with most folks
