For those interested here are my results. I went 1st place, and first female out the door with a 69 second PR. But it doesn’t tell any story just one piddly time! All that matters is that I can run 15 miles. I was SO proud of that fact! Oh Canada, yeppp!! Then there was no cheerleading team to help me back to my car so I had to walk for about 30 minutes- woohoo walking legs!! Did you know you shouldn’t train your running legs on Mondays?

How Many Scaled Women Are In The 2018 Crossfit Open?

The 2018 Open is scheduled to take place July 14-17 and the media event announcement featured a list of athletes qualified for the first time and others who already participate but will be competing in scaled divisions. The following names should sound familiar: Ashton Eaton – One of the greatest Olympic athletes ever, Ashton will enter as he always does with no qualifying times to worry about. He’s won more than 40 titles at three straight Games, including gold in both decathlon and heptathlon. He also broke his own world record in 2016 by nearly eight seconds. This year, he competes solely as a man weighing 241 pounds (107 kilograms). He’ll compete against men weighed up to 225 pounds (102 kg.) On average, male CrossFit athletes weigh 175 pounds (79 kg.), according to coach Brett Matzdorff via email; Brett has appeared on ABC’s Extreme Weight Loss series and HGTV’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” Matzdorff says one female toned up from 164 pounds (74 kg.) last year “to 172 this past year, then went back down after she got married two weeks ago.” She starts adding weight again this month at 161.5.
